Small windows close one after another
Shutters follow soon after to protecting our emotional clutter

The dark rooms are a reminder of times when we had no one
Stumbling around shut off blocking out the sun

Our own personal pity party with a reservation of our lonely thoughts
Everyone is guilty of being responsible for pulling you into knots

Just remember when you decide to let the light back in
It will be just as warm and bright as when your party begin

The light of your life will not ever dull or forget what a beautiful person you are
It will not shine or highlight those painful scars

It will bring you comfort and embrace you in all your awesomeness
Because no matter what happens that light is your blanket of happiness

I am that light in your wonderful amazing life
Just like you are the light in my darkest night

You are the light that makes me want to fight
You are the so bright that shadows run from fright

You are my love, my forgiveness, my tomorrow and forever
You are my endless thought of growing old together.
